Terms of Use (EULA)
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an end user license agreement (EULA) between you and the developer of Inlet: AI Anxiety Journal ("Inlet," "the app," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are based on, and incorporate the protections of, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where these Terms are silent, Apple's standard EULA applies.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Inlet on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or resell the app except as permitted by law.
2. Not a Medical Device — No Medical or Therapeutic Advice
Inlet is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Inlet is a private journaling tool that offers a brief, supportive reflection on what you write. It does not diagnose, evaluate, or treat anxiety or any other mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical or mental health decisions. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or crisis, contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Inlet as your sole means of managing a mental health condition.
3. Purchases, Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
- Inlet offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, sold through Apple's App Store. Prices and billing periods are shown in the app before purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trial: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple Account is charged.
- How to cancel: Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app under your account. We cannot cancel subscriptions or issue refunds on your behalf — all billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests are made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Privacy
Inlet collects no data. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an AI-generated reflection will be available at all times (for example, if your device does not support on-device AI, or generation fails or times out).
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any losses arising from use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under the Japanese Consumer Contract Act.
7. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
9. Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the app; support is provided by us (see below).

利用規約（日本語）
本利用規約（以下「本規約」）は、お客様と「Inlet: AI Anxiety Journal」（以下「本アプリ」）の開発者（以下「当方」）との間のエンドユーザーライセンス契約（EULA）です。本アプリをダウンロードまたは使用した時点で、本規約に同意したものとみなされます。本規約はAppleの標準EULA（Licensed Application End User License Agreement）を基礎としており、本規約に定めのない事項についてはAppleの標準EULAが適用されます。
1. ライセンス
当方は、App Store利用規約で認められる範囲において、お客様が所有または管理するApple製デバイス上で本アプリを使用するための、個人的・非独占的・譲渡不能・取消可能なライセンスをお客様に付与します。法令で認められる場合を除き、本アプリの複製、改変、リバースエンジニアリング、再配布、転売はできません。
2. 医療機器ではないこと・医療または心理的助言を提供しないこと
本アプリは医療機器ではなく、医療上・心理的な助言・診断・治療を提供するものではありません。本アプリは、書いた内容に対する短く支持的な映し返しを返す、プライベートな日記ツールです。不安その他いかなる精神的健康状態についても、診断・評価・治療を行うものではなく、専門的なメンタルヘルスケアの代わりになるものでもありません。医療上・メンタルヘルス上の判断については、必ず資格を持つ医療専門家にご相談ください。精神的な緊急事態・危機的状況にある場合は、直ちに専門家または最寄りの緊急連絡先にご連絡ください。メンタルヘルスの管理を本アプリのみに依存しないでください。
3. 課金・サブスクリプション・自動更新
- 本アプリは、自動更新型サブスクリプションおよび買い切り（ライフタイム）プランを、AppleのApp Storeを通じて任意で提供します。価格および請求周期は、購入前にアプリ内に表示されます。
- 自動更新について: サブスクリプションは、現行期間終了の24時間前までに自動更新をオフにしない限り、自動的に更新されます。更新料金は、現行期間終了前24時間以内にお客様のAppleアカウントに請求されます。
- 無料トライアルについて: 無料トライアルが提供されている場合、トライアル期間中にサブスクリプションを購入すると、未使用分のトライアルは失効します。トライアル終了前に解約しない場合、サブスクリプションが開始され、Appleアカウントに請求が発生します。
- 解約方法: 解約・管理は、iPhoneの「設定」→（お客様の名前）→「サブスクリプション」、またはApp Storeアプリのアカウント画面から行えます。当方側でお客様のサブスクリプションを解約したり、返金を行ったりすることはできません。請求はすべてAppleが取り扱います。返金のお申し出はAppleのreportaproblem.apple.comから行ってください。
4. プライバシー
本アプリはデータを一切収集しません。詳細はプライバシーポリシーをご覧ください。
5. 保証の否認
本アプリは「現状有姿（AS IS）」かつ「提供可能な状態（AS AVAILABLE）」で提供され、商品性、特定目的への適合性、権利非侵害の黙示的保証を含め、明示・黙示を問わずいかなる保証も行いません。本アプリが中断なくエラーなく動作すること、およびAIによる振り返りが常に生成されること（例: 端末がオンデバイスAIに対応していない場合や、生成が失敗・タイムアウトした場合等）を保証するものではありません。
6. 責任の制限
適用法令が許容する最大限の範囲で、当方は、間接損害、付随的損害、特別損害、結果的損害、懲罰的損害その他本アプリの使用または使用不能から生じる損失について、責任を負いません。当方の責任の総額は、請求に先立つ12か月間にお客様が本アプリに対して支払った金額を上限とします。ただし、消費者契約法その他の強行法規により制限できない責任については、この限りではありません。
7. 本アプリおよび本規約の変更
当方は、本アプリおよび本規約を随時更新することがあります。重要な変更は、本ページに掲載し、制定日（改定日）を更新することでお知らせします。変更後に本アプリの使用を継続した場合、変更に同意したものとみなされます。
8. 準拠法・管轄
本規約は日本法に準拠し、日本法に従って解釈されます。本規約に関する紛争については、消費者保護に関する強行法規の定めがある場合を除き、日本の裁判所を専属的合意管轄裁判所とします。
9. Appleが第三受益者であること
AppleおよびAppleの子会社は本規約の第三受益者であり、本規約を執行する権利を有することにお客様は同意します。Appleは本アプリに関する保守・サポートを提供する義務を負いません。サポートは当方が提供します（下記参照）。
